Section of Data Science Strategy

Activity

The mission of this section is to establish policies how to collect and utilize genomic and clinical data of patients who received gene tests under the National Health Insurance System. The first policy is on informed consent (IC) and it is established by joint efforts with Core Hospitals for Cancer Genome Medicine. The model IC form and S.O.P. for IC are prepared for gene testing in Core and Liaison Hospitals for Cancer Genome Medicine. The second one is on utilization of genomic and clinical data of patients to facilitate research and development of therapeutic/diagnostic methods by industry and academia. This section also helps activities of the review board to provide C-CAT data to these parties.
