Division of Policy Evaluation
To support the promotion of cancer control, we aim to clarify the current state of cancer care using data that evaluates the quality of care from the perspective of patients and their families.
In recent years, patient reported outcome (PRO) has been important in evaluating patients' physical symptoms and feelings in cancer care. This is because patients' symptoms may be underestimated due to the interpretation of the medical staff. We conduct surveys on patient and family evaluations of the care they have received.
Furthermore, we analyze the results in consultation with experts within and outside the National Cancer Centre to apply them to cancer control policies.
