Division of Screening Technology

In addition to developing new diagnostic technologies applicable to cancer screening, we conduct, for each risk population, precision evaluation research in existing diagnostic methods that may be applied to cancer screening. For all screening tests, we conduct precision evaluation research in stages until the final evaluation of a population of asymptomatic individuals. By conducting precision evaluation research in detailed examinations for new cancer screening methods and investigating their implementation status, including accidents, we intend to promote the standardization of detailed examinations for these methods. We are also working on research aimed at consolidating risks for individuals planning to undergo screening in the near future.
