Dr. Manami Inoue nominated Scientific Council Member of IARC

Dr. Manami Inoue, Chief – Division of Prevention at the Center for Public Health Sciences of the National Cancer Center, was elected a member of the Scientific Council for the years 2021-2024 of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the specialized cancer research agency of the World Health Organization (WHO), by the Governing Council on 11-12 May 2020.
Dr. Inoue served on the external editorial committee for “WHO Report on Cancer” published by WHO on 4 February 2020, World Cancer Day. She also has been actively involved in coordinating collaborative research with the Asia Cohort Consortium. It is hoped that her appointment will expand the breadth of IARC activities in Asia.
