Summit confirms trilateral Japan-US-Korea cancer dialogue to expand

The Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, the President of the United States of America, the Honorable Joseph R Biden, Jr, and the President of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Mr Yoon Suk Yeol issued a joint statement upon concluding the summit meeting held at Camp David on August 18, 2023. The accompanying fact sheet confirmed the three nations’ commitment to collaborate in the cancer field.
The National Cancer Center has concluded a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in cancer research in 2014 with the National Cancer Institute, renewed in 2022.
The National Cancer Center of Korea was established in 2000, with our Center issued a joint statement on collaboration in 2001, set up the Asian National Cancer Centres Alliance in 2005, and concluded a memorandum of cooperation in 2016, since been renewed in 2019.
