The EU Commission’s Event at Osaka Expo: Fighting Cancer: How the EU Cancer Mission and Japan’s National Cancer Center address the Challenge.

The event ‘Fighting cancer: how the EU Cancer Mission and Japan’s National Cancer Centere address the challenge’ was held at the EU Pavilion in the 2025 Osaka Expo. This was organized by the EU commission, and Dr Hiroyuki Mano, President of the NCC Japan, gave a lecture about the implementation of a 10-year strategy to cancer control in Japan.

In the session of ‘The Voice of Young Cancer Patients’, Dr Laureline Gatellier/Institute of Cancer Control of NCC Japan moderated the presentation and discussion with Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer patients, 2 from Europe and 3 from Japan.
