61% of the patients were using opioids at admission to the palliative care unit. The average oral morphine equivalent dosage at admission was 54.5mg and increased to 70.7mg in the last 24 hours.

Pain at Admission:

Of the 36 patients evaluated at admission, 64% had no or mild pain, 33% experienced moderate to severe pain, and 3% appeared vague or had unclear consciousness.

Of the 36 patients evaluated at admission, 64% had no or mild pain, 33% experienced moderate to severe pain, and 3% appeared vague or had unclear consciousness.

 

Of the 20 patients evaluated in the 3 days before passing away, the patients with no pain or mild pain decreased to 35%. Those with moderate to severe pain were 30%. Those of patients appeared vague or had unclear consciousness increased to 35%.

Of the 36 people evaluated at admission, 70% had no breathlessness or mild breathlessness, and 31% experienced moderate to severe breathlessness.

Of the 36 people evaluated at admission, 70% had no breathlessness or mild breathlessness, and 31% experienced moderate to severe breathlessness.

 

Of the 20 people evaluated in the 3 days before passing away, the patients with no or mild breathlessness decreased to 45%. Those with moderate to severe breathlessness decreased to 20%. Those of patients appeared vague or had unclear consciousness were 35%.

Fatigue at Admission:

Of the 36 people evaluated at admission, 55% had no or mild fatigue and 42% experienced moderate to extremely severe fatigue. 3% felt appeared vague or had unclear consciousness.

Of the 36 people evaluated in the 3 days before passing away, the patients with no or mild fatigue decreased to 20%. Those with moderate to extremely severe fatigue were 39%. Those of patients appeared vague or had unclear consciousness increased to 42%.
