Virtual Meeting with Gansu Provincial Cancer Hospital in China

Dr Seiichi Yoshimoto, Chief and Dr Go Omura, Assistant Chief, both from Department of Head and Neck Surgery, National Cancer Center Hospital held a virtual meeting with Gansu Provincial Cancer Hospital in China. Gansu Provincial Cancer Hospital, founded in 1972, is the largest cancer prevention and treatment institution in the province, integrating medical care, scientific research, education, cancer prevention and treatment, rehabilitation, and health information dissemination. Dr Yoshimoto presented on “Surgical management of thyroid carcinoma invading the trachea” followed by Dr Omura on “Comorbidity as predictor poor prognosis for patients with advanced head and neck cancer treated with major surgery”. Dr Youxin Tian spoke on “Focus problems in the papillary thyroid microcarcinoma” and Dr Fang Dong on “Immunotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma”. Following presentations, an active QA session took place.
