Certified Nurse Curriculum

Curriculum for certified nurses
1.Division of Palliative Care
In March 2016, 21 students of the third-generation class completed the accredited curriculum in palliative care, and 20 students passed the certified nurse qualification examination sponsored by the Japanese Nursing Association. Consequently, 47 students, including the inaugural and second-generation class graduates, were registered as palliative care certified nurses in July 2016.
In July 2016, 22 students entered our nursing institue, and are presently in the fourth-generation class.
In October 2016, 19 students of the fifth-generation class challenged the entrance examination, and 16 students entered our program.
In February 2016, the follow-up training for the second graduating class was held, and 62 people, including certified nurses across the country, participated.
2.Division of Cancer Chemo Therapy Nursing
After a three month preparation to be accredited, on 10th November 2015, we were authorized by the Japanese Nursing Association as a certified nurse educational institution for cancer chemotherapy nursing.
In July 2016, 10 inaugural class students entered our program.
In October 2016, eight students of the second-generation class took the entrance examination and six students passed it.

Our mission is to improve the quality of nursing both in our hospital and community in the field of cancer nursing through educating nurses who will professionally engage in cancer nursing. Through intensive education and training of the latest skills and knowledge of cancer nursing, we are training professional nurses who will provide high-quality nursing and educations. 2017 is the 5th anniversary of our school, and our educational curriculum will be reviewed by the Japanese Nursing Association with regard to the quality and environment of professional education. For further improvement of the quality of education, the educational curriculum will be revised appropriately considering the pass rates for the board certified examinations and the activities of graduate students.
