Practical Research for Innovative Cancer Control Management Office

Introduction
This office is supporting the program supervisor (PS) and the program officer (PO) of the "Practical Research for Innovative Cancer Control" under the supervision of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED)Division of Cancer Research, Department of Research Promotion in order to undertake research and development contracts with AMED. In October 2017, we established a completely independent office with the organization within other institutions and started activities.
The Team and What We Do
1. Development and operation of the research progress management system to support progress management of 187 research and development tasks carried out in this project.
2. Data mining research to explore state-of-theart global research and development trends for next-generation cancer research and cancer medical care development.
3. Development of research information mapping system equipped with AI function to promote the integration of researchers in different fields.
4. Continue intellectual property consultation as support for intellectual property for subjects researched and developed by the target researcher
5. Perform research ethics support consultation as support for research ethics of target researchers.

Future prospects
The support system by PRIMO and its collaborators has been launched successfully. It is expected to be an AMED model for all cancer research and beyond in the future.
