Introduction

 Division of Data Utilization was launched in October 2022, as it is necessary to check issues such as security and personal information protection, which cannot be determined by IRB review alone.

The Team and What We Do

 Division of Data Utilization is responsible for various data utilization activities such as responding to data processing requests from external companies, system development of Decentralized Clinical Trial (DTC) by clinical trials and support for CRC, data linkage from ePRO and personal health records, and data sharing with six National Centers and Japan Consortium of Clinical Research Core Hospital. The role of the Division of Data Utilization is to accelerate the utilization of data as much as possible while checking the system with the full support of Division of Medical Informatics (Figure 1, 2).

Future Prospects

 Through frequent e-mail meetings and regular monthly face-to-face meetings, Division of Data Utilization will establish the application method and review criteria for data utilization, as well as the actual review and provision of data, and will also promote structured data within the hospital and develop common templates necessary for cancer treatment.
