Introduction

The Center for Education and Professional Career Development plans and manages human resources development such as career paths for each occupation and acquisition of professional qualifications, and builds training courses to acquire the specialized knowledge and skills required for cancer treatment. By planning workshops and coordinating job rotation, we aim to improve the medical care level of the entire hospital and community medical staff, and to educate the general public.

The Team and What We Do

In addition to planning and managing personnel development, such as career paths and acquisition of specialized qualifications for each job type, we also develop training courses to acquire the specialized knowledge and skills required for cancer treatment, plan and design training sessions, and coordinate job rotations, aiming to improve the level of medical care for the entire hospital and, ultimately, for local medical professionals, as well as to raise awareness among the general public.

1. To support the acquisition of qualifications in each department in the hospital to improve specialized techniques and skills, we identified those who had obtained qualifications and collected information such as the requirements and difficulty of obtaining qualifications. We provided support for the acquisition of qualifications required by each department.

2. We continuously operated a job rotation system to have employees experience working in various fields to find their aptitude and develop human resources from a medium- to long-term perspective through their work.

3. We recruited twice a year through the overseas training support system, and a screening committee reviewed the applicants, and two people were supported.

4. We planned and implemented training sessions and lectures. We held two study abroad report sessions and one in-hospital lecture by a person who has published in a top journal.

5. To improve the language skills of medical staff, we held a Chinese language course, which was attended by 11 people.

6. We provided work experience to high school students aiming to become medical professionals at two schools.

7. We sent cancer education lecturers to elementary, junior high, and high schools in the Higashikatsushika area to lecture at four schools.

8. We held a public lecture and released a video to disseminate information to the general public.

9. We provided case observation opportunities for doctors from other facilities to obtain licenses to use the endoscopic surgery robot (Da Vinci). (30 cases in the gastric surgery department, 23 cases in the urology and retroperitoneal tumor department).

Future Prospects

1. The types of work that our center can be involved in are still limited, so we will understand the situation regarding securing human resources in a broader range of occupations, identify problems, and actively provide information accordingly. By disseminating information, we want to build a system that ensures excellent human resources.

2. To contribute to the internationalization of hospitals, we would like to cooperate with domestic and overseas facilities and strengthen efforts and human resources development to secure international human resources.
