Introduction

International practice was positioned as one of the important activities of NCCH under the unified vision, and the Department of International Medical and Advanced Care was established in October 2023.

The number of new foreign patients treated from April 2023 to March 2024 was 156, the highest number ever. Of these, 132 patients received a second opinion, and 24 patients were subsequently treated. The number of patients who revisited to our hospital and were treated was 422. As a result, our hospital achieved its highest ever revenue from foreign patients.

In addition, Brisian was added through an open call for new medical coordination companies.

We visited the Vietnamese Embassy and clarified the medical appointment procedure for VIP patients through the Vietnamese Embassy.

When visitors from abroad visited the Director of the NCCH or the President of our center, etc., we briefed them about our practice and further explained about appointments for patients from abroad. We handled approximately 10 visits from foreign countries.

We toured about 10 medical institutions in China and interacted with local medical staff to promote our hospital. They also visited a hospital in Thailand that handles inbound patients and collected information on how to handle VIPs.

The Team and What We Do

The staff of our department has educated the hospital staff on the treatment of foreign patients through multidisciplinary team medical care for a wide range of diseases. Specifically, educational videos for hospital staff are uploaded to the internal server.

Research Activities

None in particular. This is the department of infrastructural development in the practice.

Future Prospects

In FY2024, we plan to work with a medical coordination company to create videos and profiles to promote the hospital's international medical services.

In consultation with the Investment Committee, the hospital plans to hire dedicated staff (one full-time and two part-time) for the international advanced medical care department to reduce the burden on hospital staff to treat foreign patients and to handle exclusive appointment services from medical coordination companies.
