Bioethics Support Section

Introduction

 The Bioethics Support Section was established in August 2023 and is engaged in clinical and research ethics at the NCC Hospital East.

The Team and What We Do

 [Medical ethics-related tasks]

1. Consultations regarding operations within the hospital; Complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information when conducting operational trials outside of research and introducing equipment related to patient services, etc.

2. Participation in medical ethics consultation team

3. Participation in various working groups

1. Research ethics consultation: Consultation on clinical research

2. Training and development: Lectures in clinical research seminars, etc.

 We also conduct research on research ethics and bioethics.

Research Activities

 We gave two symposium presentations at academic conferences, one of which was regarding our practice of research ethics consultation in the NCC.

Education

 We give lectures at the NCC Clinical Research Seminar several times a year and cooperate with clinical ethics seminars. In addition, in FY 2024, we gave five training lectures on research ethics at other academic and medical institutions for researchers.
