Curriculum for certified nurses

1. Palliative care nursing

 The 2024 certified nurse education curriculum in palliative care nursing was cancelled.

2. Cancer chemotherapy nursing

 In December 2023, 8 students who completed the curriculum passed the Japanese Nursing Association qualification examination. Since the start of the education curriculum in 2016, 59 nurses have been certified in cancer chemotherapy nursing. In April 2024, we launched the Oncology Pharmacotherapy Nursing Program as Course B, incorporating the Specified Medical Act Training. Four students enrolled in this program, and all four successfully completed it in March 2025.

3. Cancer radiation therapy nursing

 The 2024 certified nurse education curriculum in cancer radiation therapy nursing was cancelled.

Future Prospects

 We will continue to support 174 certified nurses across three specialties so that they can provide high-quality nursing care based on clinical reasoning and pathophysiological assessment, applying advanced nursing skills and fulfilling their roles in practice, education, and consultation, thereby contributing to the improvement of nursing quality at their respective institutions.
