Department of Clinical Genomics
Introduction
The missions of this department are to provide next-generation sequencing (NGS) and SNP array analysis services as a part of the Research Institute Genomics Core Facility, and to contribute to realize precision medicine for cancer patients based on their somatic and germline genomic information. To this end, we are working on the identification of novel cancer susceptibility genes, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets for several types of malignancies by the use of NGS and SNP array technologies. In addition, we have been developing NGS-based genomic testing system using original gene panels ("NCC oncopanel" for actionable somatic alterations and "NCC oncopanel FC" for germline mutations of familial cancer genes).
In addition, we are working on the identification of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for several types of malignancies by the use of NGS technologies.
