Analysis of Systemic Pain Networks
Many cancer patients experience pain. Pain-related neurons not only produce the feeling of pain, but also transmit the pain signal to tissues and cells throughout the body. To elucidate the mechanism of systemic alterations in the physiological response generated by pain signals, we will attempt to analyze the effects of changes in the sensory nerve response caused by the pain reflex on the function of each organ or specific cell, as well as systemic alterations, by applying various molecular and neuroscientific methods.
