豊富な病理組織検体と詳細な臨床情報を用いた、新しい診断法/治療法の開発

がん組織標本には、悪性像、あるいは薬剤感受性に関わる様々な情報が含まれています。近年では、新しい薬物療法(抗がん剤、分子標的薬、抗体薬などの化学療法)、免疫療法や放射線療法の発展に伴い、治療を受けた病理標本を見る機会も増加しています。未治療標本および治療後の標本を用いて臨床各科と共同で臨床病理学的研究を行うことにより、新しい診断法/治療法の開発基盤を作成しています。
